My husband had really bad acid reflux. He was on Pepcid like he was eating M&Ms. He got rid the reflux by eliminating wheat from his diet. worked wonders for him and he also lost 40 pounds.

Pro biotics are not a really natural way to lose weight, I woujld strongly recommend eating more natural and organic foods. These can be found at a decent price and they are certainly not going to be stolen by any thieves. Any type of diet plan is a good idea, but I stongly believe that taking drugs and pro-biotics to lose some weight is not how we are supposed to stay in shape.

Decrease the amount of fat in your diet and eat smaller, more frequent meals.
Avoid foods that aggravate your reflux. Keep a food diary and track which foods caus heartburn symptoms. Some of the most common foods known to cause reflux are: chocolate (McKinley Health Center at the University of Illinois states that chocolate contains methylxanthine, which causes relaxation of smooth muscle and reduces lower esophageal sphincter pressure), coffee, peppermint, carbonated beverages, fried and greasy foods, spicy foods, alcohol, onions and tomato products.

Water is always a safe option when on a reflux diet, but if you get bored with it or just need a little bit of flavor, try fruit juices like apple or grape. Steer clear of citrus juices such as orange or grapefruit juice.

Avoid foods that burn. Abstain from food or drink that increases gastrjc acid
secretion, decreases LES pressure or slows the emptying of the stomach.
Known offenders include high-fat foods, spicy dishes, tomatoes and tomato
products, citrus fruits, garlic, onions, milk, carbonated drinks, coffee (including
decaf), tea, chocolate, mints, and alcohol. The list is long, but you’re likely to see
a substantial improvement if you cut out such foods.

I've always found it best to avoid garlic and onions when I'm dealing with reflux.
