This recipe came from my grandmother, she used to make it when we had perogies and sausage. Yum!
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
1/2 hour
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
Serves 4 hungry guys
1/4 pound Bacon, diced
2 Tablespoons Sugar
4 Tablespoons Cider vinegar
4 cups Cabbage, shredded
1 medium Onion, diced
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
shred, chop and dice ingredients
Instructions:
Brown the bacon in a large, heavy skillet. Whisk in the sugar and vinegar. Stir in the cabbage and onions. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Cover and reduce the heat.
Simmer until the cabbage is tender (about 20 minutes). Serve warm.
