my grandmother used to make these all the time

12 thin sliced sandwich steaks (like serloin or chunk)
salt and pepper
1 onion chopped
8 slices bacon- cut into pieces
3 tbls butter
Take steak and dip both sides in flour to coat. Then place some onion and a few pieces of bacon in the middle of the steak and spread out.
Roll steak and secure with toothpicks.
In a large skillet melt butter. Add rolled up steak and brown over med - high heat til browned on all sides.
After steak is browned add enough water to go half way up the steak (but not too much) simmer til steak is tender stirring ocassionaly making sure to get all the dippings on bottom of pan mixed in.
If needed add more water. Season with salt and pepper. Add gravy master is desired. Serve with mashed potatoes.
