My Dad's Fettuccini Alfredo

1 stick butter
4 cloves of garlic
fresh parsley - chopped or you can use flakes
few dashes of pepper
lg carton of mushrooms- quartered
1 pint half and half
1 lg jar parmesan cheese
Boil fettuccine noodles til al dante drain do not rinse.
Melt butter in med skillet add crushed garlic, parsley,and pepper.
Add mushrooms and saute over low heat for a few minutes until some of the water from the mushrooms is gone.
Add half n half and parmesan cheese slowly til all cheese in mixed into sauce.
Stiring constantly over low heat til sauce thickens.
Pour sauce over pasta and serve.
