Braised Lamb Chops

these are succulent and tender. Serve with rice or couscous.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil
6 round bone lamb chops
2 med. onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, sliced
pinch cumin (optional)
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon sage
1/2 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon parsley
1/2 cup white wine
1 cup water

Directions

Combine spices, rub on both sides of chops. Slice onions and garlic.
Heat oil in large pan on stov etop, med hi heat.
Brown chops on both sides and remove from pan.
Add onions and garlic, cook to soften.
Add wine to deglaze the pan, reduce to half.
Add water, bring to boil.
Add back chops and juices to pan, cover, simmer 1 hour.
