Default When life gives you lemons...

    Hey all,

I am not sure if this is the right board to post this in, or even the
right forum, but I have a question about lemons.

I want to make an all natural lemonade (or limonade) that does not
include any concentrate. I want to make about 50%-70% juice lemonande
(still testing) and I have a couple of questions about preservation
techniques as well as the nature of lemons.

    1) Do you have to pasteurize natural lemonade in order for it not going
bad? Does the acidity of lemon take care of that on its own, if not and
pasteurization is required, will the heat somehow damage the natural
vitamins found in lemon juice and/or its taste.

    2) How bad is lemon juice for you? The acidity in lemons might cause
some damage to the lining of the esophagus and stomach, but at what
amounts? It can't be as bad for you as, say, energy drinks.

I do not have any other questions at the moment, but if you guys can
answer these questions and possibly come up with others, that would be
    greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

    Probably not, and yes.

Here's a link with lots of info for you to study on food safety concerns:

You'd have to ask a dietician or registered nutritionist.

You can drown, if the puddle is deep enough.
