rhubarb
anybody know about rhubarb? I have a patch of it that is about 15 or
20 years old. someone gave me a start and I've never done anything
with it. it's looking a bit straggly and I just got the idea I might
need to divide it? anybody have any knowledge about that? thanks,
Kitty

Rec.gardens.edible would be the appropriate place to ask about dividing
it.
Or try The Rhubarb Compendium, http://rhubarbinfo.com/

Divide it every 4-5 years or less.... Rhubarb does not like crowding and
will diminish in both yield and hardiness the more it is compacted. Divide
mature crowns into 4-10 sections (depending on age and condition) and
replant a minimum of 24" apart.
