They can be dehydrated for later use, pickled, or chopped, frozen, and
bagged for later use in cooking. We had a bumper crop of various sweet
chiles this year and the freezer is full of chopped ones in vacuum bags
now.

i'm not sure what a red cherry pepper is but
if it is similar to a large red pepper then it
can be roasted and peeled. very yummy used in
many ways. can then be frozen in freezer safe
container/bag. a lot of chilis end up as not
as much as you'd think.
i think the easiest method is to dice and freeze
then they can be used for chili. dependent upon
freezer space...
we've been using extra peppers this season making
salsa. make sure to follow a safe recipe (one
was posted here not too long ago) so your acidity
is low enough for BWB or pressure can it.
