    Default The 18th Annual Schaller Ribbon Report

    Well, I did okay at this year's State Fair.

    In spades!!

    Eight blue ribbons: Blackberry jelly, Crab apple jelly, Peach jam, Boozy
    Floozy Peach Amaretto Jam, PICKLED BOILED DIRT CHUNKS!!, Watermelon
    pickles, Stewed tomatoes, Tomato juice

    Two red ribbons: Plum jelly, Raspberry jelly

    Four white ribbons: Strawberry jelly, Blackberry jam, Nectarine jam,
    Apricot butter

    One pink ribbon: Cherry jam

    I believe those awards are sufficient to garner the award for being the
    best (at least most prolific) canner at this year's GREAT MINNESOTA
    GET-TOGETHER!! You should go!!

    Muggy and cloudy here today, too. We were saved by a lovely breeze all
    day long. Chris and I had a blast at the Fair today.

    well done, woman!! I, for one, am not surprised. Even in the PBDC, knowing you didn't even TRY them! Boozy Floozy Peach Amaretto, huh? I might have to try that

    Thanks, Kathi. Stir in about 1/4 cup Amaretto after you remove the jam
    from the heat.
