Sounds like fun. In my town people are too snooty to socialize like that.
Undesirables may even try to talk to you.

Get to know the undesirables, sounds like you'd have more fun.

We took a couple of hours off yesterday and attended the local "tea
party." Made our own signs, took a tea bag to empty into the local river
and in general had a good time protesting against all varieties of
politicians. Veterans had a special place to stand and there were a lot
of us, ranging from WWII through to the most recent conflicts. We had a
good time, met some good people, and let the local politicos know what
we thought of what they're doing to our local community, our state, and
our country.

Did we do any good? I doubt it, the Congress Critters thought we were
protesting against locals and the locals thought we were protesting
against the Congress Critters. Made us feel good though.

No violence, the Pledge of Allegiance, a prayer or two, lots of American
flags. Probably a couple of Homeland Security shills watching us as that
department seems to think all veterans are domestic terrorists.

most of the tea partiers i've heard from had no idea what they were
protesting about, other than President Negro and his socialistic raising of
the tax rate by three percent for a tax bracket they will never be in.

yeah, it's not like there haven't been any right-wingers shooting up a
bunch of people they didn't even know of late:

I spent from Thursday afternoon till Sunday, on my sailboat. Perfect
weather, great wind. Bought three six packs of good beer, one bottle
of wine, lots of fruit and munchies. Had lobster, cole slaw for dinner
on Friday night. Grilled tenderloins and salad on Saturday night. Eggs
benedict on Sunday morning.
