Not a whole heck of a lot. Mainly driving daughter back and forth to dance.
Doing a lot of shopping. Trying to get stuff in order for my husband's
retirement. As of today he is officially retired.

I got new eyes. Corrected my assorted vision problems including cataracts
and astigmatism. I don't need glasses or contacts. Can see a mosquito at
100 yards and thread a fine quilting needle. This includes locating a mean
ant on a Yorkie paw and reading 'next exit' signs on the interstate. Also
had a hurricane and flood. Happy. I didn't know I couldn't see. Much new
and improved is a trial but the progress is vision/medicine is just
astounding. Polly

How did they correct the astigmatism?

Julie,I had not planned on retiring, but we moved to a different state,
and I did not apply for a license to practice. Retirement takes a period
of adjustment. I still have dreams that I am working, and they are
always pleasant. I hope your husband adjusts well to retirement, but it
is hard to retire when you are still young.
Polly, I am so happy that you have "new eyes", I know you are pleased
about that. Sorry about the hurricane, though. Here in Texas, we did
not get a drop of rain from Isaac.

So what did they do to your eyes to fix your vision problems? Sounds
like a big success.

He has to move to NY for another job. We can not live on what he is making
now and the VA is so backed up it may take a year before we will see the
money from them. He couldn't find a job in this area that paid enough to
bother with.

how did you manage being able to thread a needle and see at a
distance? I thought you had a choice -- up close eyes or distance
eyes.

That's how it was with my parents. They had to choose one or the other.
And then they put the wrong lens in my mom's eye. She was not happy.

I guess you have alluded to that. You are not moving with him?

Worked, had some remodeling done and looked unsuccessfully for lurid
photos of Carly Foulkes on the internet.
