Fun stuff! Have a great time. I love breakfast out.
I'm sitting here at my computer waiting for Kate C! She's about 45
miles away coming in from MinnySoda. We will be headed for one of
three restaurants, depending.
First Choice:Cafe Piccolo "European" (Bosnian/Balkan) closes at 9
Second Choice: Acapulco (Mexican not TexMex) closes at 9
Third Choice: Casa Ramos (new-same but better than Acapulco) closes at
10
Will post to tell y'all how we did. Kate (or both of us) will try to
have breakfast tomorrow at T 'n' T Diner in West Fargo. Terrific home
made midwestern 'Merican. We'd have dinner there tonight but they
close at 8 pm! (Hot pork sandwiches or meatloaf or (gasp)
hotdish . . .) but they close at 8 pm!
Cops eat there and you can "have coffee & pie with a cop" once a
month!

I hate to break it to you, but it's anything but interior Mexican
food. It's Cal/Tex-Mex. It's typical "Mexican" chain fare.
I'd vote for 1 or 3 :-)

Lynn let me know which you eventually tried. Kathleen and I will give it a try
when we wander through your town next. I'm leaning toward Cafe Piccolo myself.

===========================================
We went to Piccolo at 8:00. I liked my food a lot but Kate was hoping
for more Hungarian or Czech options. Then they were out of half the
side dishes and two of the specials!
I ordered Hungarian Goulash. First came a blistering hot bowl (!) of
very good (clear) vegetable chicken (?) broth with semolina (?)
dumplings. I ate about half of it and my entree came so I tackled the
wonderful goulash with rich red brown gravy and no-teeth-tender beef
over real scratch mashed potatoes. By the time I went back to the soup
it was cool. There was a reason it was served so hot. It doesn't age
well . . . <g>
Kate had Cevapi (spelling?!?) skinless "sausages" of minced beef with
spices served on a big home made bread circle. She had avjar (I think)
and sour cream with it. She said it was good.
I feel bad that it wasn't what she was expecting; but we talked till
we were blue in the face and left after 9:45 from the restaurant which
was supposed to close at 9:00. I will go back. They have Sarma
(cabbage rolls) and Kababs and grilled meats . . .
Kate's a lot of fun and we talked about everything from physics to
Sanskrit to art and music. No politics and (almost) no religion!

Interior? You really are stupid steve! I think the crack and toilet
designing among other things is warping what little amount of brain
cells was left after you were born.

Cool, we'll have to try it. I hope they won't be out of sides when we pop in
