Talked to our letter carrier when he came by today. Including the sack
of groceries I gave him he had collected fifty bags already today. His
route takes until 5 or 6 pm to finish, hopefully he got a lot more. Most
of the folks in our small town donate to the letter carrier drive and
all the other drives in the area. To many of us have been out of work on
down our luck not to give when we are doing well. I think a lot of small
towns are that way.

I seem to remember something like this about 10 years ago. Unfortunately,
someone forgot to inform the mail carriers that they were going to be
picking up bags of groceries. I hope it worked out better this year.
