True enough. Having been through bypass surgery I can tell you that it
is something you don't want to have to experience yourself. It knocks
you on your ass and it takes months to recover. And thank goodness for
health insurance.
That being said... I can't say I have a lot of sympathy for someone with
the sort of diet that would lead them to order a 6000 calorie burger.

Maybe he was really a paid actor? But, who wants THAT kind of
publicity? I doubt it'll make much of an impact tho on the sat-fat
crowd.

Meanwhile, Joe's Crab Shack was empty.

Now there's a thought. They are getting loads of free PR out of the
incident.
If it's for real they should send the guy a gift card when he gets out of
the hospital. ;-)
I can admit to having indulged in triple cheeseburgers on a couple
occasions. There used to be a joint down the street that served one... three
1/3 lb patties of tasty ground chuck. It was called "The Animal". Normally I
just ordered a single or double, with tater tots (sigh) and it came in a
brown paper bag which had grease spots leaking through.
Then a middle eastern guy bought it, put in some good gyros, but cheapened
up everything else. The burger quality went straight to hell.

Don't bring up crabs when you talk to Johny. Sore subject. And itchy.

Maybe he has a case in that the waitresses are dressed as nurses, so
he thought he would safe eating there, if he indeed DID have a heart
attack.
Did the nurses fail to provide any emergency assistance?

A pound of butter is only 3200 calories. So this guy basically
at 2 pounds of butter. Imagine how much more a struggle it would be
to put down 2 pounds of low-fat burgers. You'd have to eat almost
twice as many of the ultra fat ones. That might be even more
dangerous to the entire system - glutting the stomach and causing the
heart to pump harder to digest the gunk within. These are my favorite
posts - those involving food and death - two of my favorite topics -
with food coming in a close second.
