Thanks, Barb/Melba.
There's very little in the dessert line that I'll turn down. But,
there are two things right at the top of my mostest un-favourite list,
lemon meringue pie and banana bread.
Well, probably figuring she could keep me out of the dessert, Gerry
made your Banana Bread (Magnolia Bakery, Nyc Recipe) as one part of
our contribution to a pot luck Canada Day dinner being held this
evening at our friends' home.
I got the job of slicing it and arranging it on a cake platter. I
dared to sample a bit and, two slices later, I can now say there is
one banana bread that I definitely enjoy.
Just what I need, another fattening temptation. At least I can still
say "No Thanks" to lemon meringue pie.

And I, Ross, am grateful to the young friend who made a loaf for us and
shared the recipe with me.
