Before Hurricane Isaac, someone here suggested that freezing water in shoe
box size containers made great ice cubes. I did that. Dumped out my
plastic shoe boxes that contained silk ribbon, appliqués, and heirloom lace
trims and used the boxes for big ice cubes.
As it turned out, we didn't loose power and the Big ice wasn't needed...
until today.
Our sister is moving and we wanted to load an ice chest so that it would
hold fragile food until they unpacked and had all the bureaucrats and such
approved and their power/water would be functioning.
Those big cubes in an ice chest will surely hold. Such a great idea.
