Sweet Potato Chips
No mysteries here, but an interesting tip on tossing and salting the
chips after frying. I thought this quote was great, coming from
Michael Ruhlman, already known for his enthusiasm: "These are real
treats. So try to make them as much as possible before you die. I知
forty-seven and I知 starting now." -aem

Are there any commercially-made ones available? I hate to get my
fryer out and stink up the house (even with a new exhaust fan set on
high)....

Terra Chips are the best I've found, particularly the spiced
ones, but all are good and fairly well distributed:

Trader Joe's sells sweet potato chips. They are pretty good. I never
think to make chips instead of fries. Next time.
