BTW: Agent comes in a free version. It might do while you're looking
for something free that has more features (like a spellchecker and
filtering).
I just found this on the Agent NG:
Go to <www.forteinc.com>, hover over AGENT in the top line and select
'Agent Downloads'. When you get there, over at the right side select
'Download Other Files'. There you can download version 3.3 which,
when you install it, gives you the option of installing as Free Agent.

That's for the current version 7.0, folks.
Barbara said to download version 3.3
That's evidently the last version offered for free
I have an older version of free agent. there's no time out for free agent.

She said the same thing to me. Said my newsreader was broken. I see the
quotes just fine.

yeah, can't blame them for wanting to run a business... but when there's
OE, Windows Mail, Thunderbird, etc. Why buy the cow, when you can get the

Maybe in your universe but not mine. 6.6 or 7.0 or nothing... thirty day
trial then pay. Okay, I'm not a cheapskate. I tried it... no

Why would somebody want to download a limited functionality Free Agent
when they could get all the feature of Agent and more for free with
Dialog - the most overlooked and the most powerful newsreader out
there. Suitable for beginners and tweakers.

I think she's referring to what we use as not quoting correctly. Guess
what? The other newsreaders I've tried don't work. And Forte Agent isn't
free.
I like Barbara (sf), don't get me wrong. She's fun and we've known each
other here for years. But I really wonder why she's so obsessed about my
newsreader.
She doesn't have to read my posts if she doesn't want to.

Why don't you try reading it first before being snarky? It's the last free version. You get the full version for 30 days and then have the option to switch to the FREE version, which is yours to use forever.
