EggBeaters omelet stuffed with last nights left over smoked (pork) sausage
and cheese. A serving of Uncle Sam cereal with sliced banana and skim milk.

The sausage was outstanding. It was from my leftovers from last nights
dinner at Iron Barley, a terrific little restaurant here in St. Louis
(located in south city area). Most meats there are smoked or cooked over an
open flame and all sausages are house-made. I had the off-menu pork chop
(one of last nights specials) which was served with kraut, potatoes and and
smoked sausage. Portions are more than sufficient, hence, sausage for
b'fast this morning, pork chop sandwich for lunch.

My son had a smoked duck salad and the portabella "philly" from the lunch
menu; the cook was in a good mood, they usually won't lunch menu items
during dinner service. I sampled the smoked duck salad and it was
excellent.

My daughter, who usually does not eat beef, pork or lamb had the t-bone
steak. Her ovoidance of those meats is not a matter of concsience, she just
doesn't care for them. Her verdict was, if beef was always as good as the
t-bone at Iron Barley, she'd eat it all the time.
