The stuff my Pop got stomach fed to keep him alive?
No that was Ensure.
Andy
Won't touch a nutrition drink ever since.
Didn't save him.

Janet,
Sounds great!
I'm still teeter-tottering about leftover chicken and pesto.
Your breakfast sounds better!
I'll put breakfast off until lunch.
Happy deviled eggs!!! My Evil Twin is proud of you!
Best,
Andy

Nah. It's to counteract the gravy, plum pudding, brandy butter, cashews and
the like that I gorged on for two days. (Actually, the chocolate Ensure is
not bad -- it kept me going when I had peeneumonia this fall.)

Small bowl of Strawberry Special K in lowfat milk with 1/2 a diced banana,
and a cup of coffee. Trying to make up for latkes overload for the last
week. I had more fried food in the last 8 days than in the last year.

Jon,
The freeze dried straberry stuff in the box?
I managed a cup of keylime yogurt. Probably on a par with your Special K.

I had assorted sauteed veggies, with a bit of chicken salad. Very
breakfast-like!

Oh Jean B,
I could SO embarrass myself with a bowl of chicken salad in front of me!!!
Best,
Andy
Looks good in anything I eat.

Speaking of popovers (potholders, my kids called them) I finally perfected
them after 50-some years. First, mix the batter in a blender so as to keep
more air in the batter better than you would in a mixer. Two, bake them in
individual pot de crème dishes or whatever you have, or in alternate cups in
popover tins, to allow them to expand all they want to. Never fails.
That's 1/2 dozen for you and 1/2 dozen for me, right? I'll supply the
premium butter.

Breakfast shouldn't look, smell or taste like 'breakfast.' What would you
do with the combo chicken and pesto?

I am so looking forward to lunch. I have small amounts of Brussels sprouts,
cauliflower, carrots, onion and potato niggling at me from the fridge. I'm
going to toss all with EVOO and herbs and roast. A smidge of chicken would
work well with that. Hmmmm. . .I think I have a couple of chicken thighs in
the freezer. Maybe I'll turn it into lunch/supper. Should I bake a couple
of apples as long as the oven is on? Tomorrow I'll have to deal with the
baby spinach and the mushrooms -- no more salad, please.

I'd try to carve little pieces of chicken with the shape of "trofie" and
then warm them up and dress with pesto.

Oh, I LIKE that! I usually don't eat breakfast food--and if I do
eat it, it's apt not to be at breakfast!

Felice,
OH, so now, as nice as your recipe method sounds, you're challenging me to
a popover off?
NOW we'll have to round up all the rfc membership for a taste contest.
My popovers vs. yours?!?
Best of luck!
Andy
With a professional popover pan from planet... uhm... uhm... nevermind!
