    Silly or Useful Cuisinart appliance?

I saw a TV commercial for what amounts to a hot place and blender for the
    tidy sum of $200.00!

Called a Blend and Cook Soup Maker

    4 blend speeds
    3 temperatures

I call it a silly appliance and something of an eyesore.

It can't compete with an ordinary soup pot, imho.

    Would you own one?

A soup pot has a wider surface area on a stovetop burner, rather than a
vertical heat unit as exhibited in theirs, imho.
