Arrogantly twisting the sterile canvas snoot of a fully charged icing
anoinment utensil...
:-)
Some of Frank's BEST guitar work! Dweezil didn't even attempt this
when I saw Zappa Play Zappa. They wisely played a tape of Frank
playing this one!

OK, Dweezil plugged his Pop's style with zero measure of talent.
I also remember Frank's daughter's "Valley Girl" temporary trend setting
mediocre claim to fame..
Both of them living quick and short fame.

Dweezil has actually become quite good at guitar. And he's got a whole
band backing him up too. The Zappa Plays Zappa show I saw was a very
passable good show. Plenty of properly placed authentic Frank Zappa
material (as I said "Muffin Man" in particular!) and Dweezil never
tried to be his father but played his father's and his own material
quite well.

I remember Frank playing a Bercas Barry bridged Gibson SG.
Simplified extravagant lead guitar playing.
From what I was told. Could be wrong.

Frank played a bicycle on Steve Allen too. As he said, he was not
normal.

I've never been a fan of Frank Zappa's music. He was very talented but his
choice of music was extremely weird. I do have one of his old albums
though.
That said, I still say to some people about how I'm going to be "moving to
Montana soon, going to be a dental floss tycoon. Raise up a crop of dental
floss..." hahaha What a strange fellow he was. And he named his son,
Dweezil? heheheh

He often changed time signatures and/or keys more often in one composition
than most pop artists do in their entire careers. He was even known to do
that stuff on the fly, improvisationally. I always wondered how his band
members could keep up with it. But as a child of the Sixties, I thought he
was way cool. So was his contemporary, Captain Beefheart.
