I love brussels sprouts! The frozen ones tend to be bitter and nasty.
Fresh brussels sprouts are a dream Steamed is just fine with me. But I
also like to split them and bake them in a cream sauce (sort of like making
scalloped potatoes) topped with buttered breadcrumbs. I haven't done that
in a while. I'll have to look for brussels sprouts the next time I'm at the
store

Technique is important but so is which ingredients go with which.
