This is the one we use:
Shoo Fly Pie
This pie yields a gooey layer at the bottom with a moist cake-top. If
your pie crust has any holes, the liquid could leak out.
Serve this warm with cold milk, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream
1 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup unsulfured molasses
1 egg, beaten
1 cup water, divided
1 teaspoon baking soda
9-inch pie crust, unbaked
With your fingers, mix the flour, brown sugar, and butter until
crumbly and fine.
Set aside 1/2 cup of the crumbs.
Dissolve the baking soda in 1/4 cup of warm water.
In a large bowl stir together the molasses, egg, remaining 3/4 cup of

Pour into pie shell. Do not overfill or you'll be cleaning the excess
out of your oven.
Sprinkle the remaining crumbs over the top.
Bate at 375° F until the cake top springs back when you touch it with
your finger and the whole does not wiggle like Jell-O. This usually
takes about 35 minutes.
