I haven't been to the Harrison springs. But we stopped in at Laird River
after a long day of driving. And we pitched tent in the campsite there. And
hit the springs and came back to sleep. I suppose it must had been something
in that those hot springs, but I had the best night sleep that I could ever
remember. And we had woodpeckers waking us up the next morning. What a
terrific spot.

Me and bees don't get along too well. I always end up in the hospital
swollen like a balloon. And the doctors and nurses go, "whoa..."

The peckers down here love the western red cedars. Or they seem to. They
will peck through the bark and cambium layer to get at the insects, mostly
ants, least from what I have seen. Occasionally, you see and hear them
hitting on telephone polls. But I think that's mostly to show off and
attract a mate.
