    Default Poll: Cuisinart or Kitchenaid

You're about to buy a new small appliance. Prices and features are
about the same. If your choice were between the Cuisinart or the
Kitchenaid, which would you buy? IOW, which do you think is the
    better made product?

    Thanks.

Depends on which appliance. I'd buy the Kitchen Aid mixer but I'd by
    the Cuisinart Food Processor.

Couldn't afford KitchenAid OR Cuisinart - just bought Black & Decker
    Processor

If you are into breadmaking, I wouldn't buy the lower end KA mixer.
However, the Cuisinart is made in China and, although it looks more
powerful, it has no track record. Have you looked at the Viking mixer?
This is apparently being made in the old Kenwood factory and my Kenwood is
still going strong at over 40years old. Soooo, if you just make cakes, the
KA may be the one to buy as you should have no trouble with servicing if it
    breaks down.
I agree with Lynn about the food processors as I have a Cuisinart, although
the KA ones look pretty good.

I agree. Kitchen Aid mixer and Cuisinart Food Processor. Cuisinart
    Toaster Oven, too.

Blenders are a toss-up between a good Oster and a Cuisinart.

    Further to my other post:
The Spring issue of "Cooks Illustrated" compares the Cuisinart mixer very
favourably with the *Professional* KA. Note NOT the cheaper basic version
    of the KA.
