Default pepper

There`s a difference. I bought Madagascar pepper in Montreal a couple
of years ago. It tastes and smells way better than other peppers.

No real point to this post other than I wish I could find good other
good peppers. e.

Try Penzeys. They ship internationally and have superb
spices, including a killer "extra bold" peppercorn along with
great tellicherry and malabar.

Indian Tellichery is delicious and very aromatic, also.

Yep. Penzeys is a great source!

If you are lucky enough to have a store nearby, and look as clueless as I
do, on occasion, LOL, you can get an employee to tour guide you around
for what you're looking for, with lots of "sample" glass jars they'll
open and let you take a whiff of each of any spice from any of several
world harvest suppliers. A real treat for the schnoz!

The place smells intoxicating.

When checking out my purchases I thanked my "guide" and said "it must be
great to work in a place that smells so great."

She replied, "my sense of smell is dulled, day in and day out, you know."

I nodded with a degree of sadness.

Best and goodnight Mrs. Calabash--wherever you are!

What kind of "Madagascar pepper"... black or green?

There are all kind of peppers out there, so you'd have to be a bit more
specific. A very good kind of black pepper is Tellicherry; a very good
kind of white pepper is Muntok, for example.

Black - it was kind of pricey, but worth it. I'll look at Penzey's -
I've ordered there before. Thx,

I like the smell of almost all peppers but
they have to be fresh
