OT: She's baaaaack
Call it Felice's Excellent Adventure: a total hip replacement complicated
somewhat by a wicked reaction to coumadin and then by an "atrial flutter"
(doesn't that sound positively Victorian?). But she's home at last,
careening around the house with her walker and wearing her "I'm not dead
yet" button.
Thanks to you all for your cards and good thoughts.
Ob Food:
Brigham & Women's Hospital: boring, really boring, but you can order what
you want when you want it.
Au Bon Pain in the B&W lobby: don't miss the eggplant, mozzarella and tomato
panini.
Clark House (my posh rehab center where there were only 20 "residents" on
the wing): very tasty food, good choices, pretty china and cloth napkins,
served in your room on in an attractive intimate dining room.
Home: Back to deli take-out and red boxes.
Nice to be back.

I'm glad you're home and doing well. But ... do you know that you
gave Dora big ideas and she's gone off to do the same thing?

No, I didn't know Dora had joined the club! Hey, Dora, wherever you are and
whatever stage you're at, it's worth it. The first step on my new hip was
better than the last step on my old one. Good luck!

Hope I got that snipped right. Welcome back. I can empathize with some of
your experiences, having had major surgery. Are you on coumadin long term,
or short term? I'm on it ferever term.
I have been off a while, too, ill, and writing a blog of my experiences.
Isn't it nice to be back and out of the medical places? The best of luck to
you.

WB! Wishing you a good recovery. Whatever else you do, follow the
exercise programme you must have been given.
The Maternal Unit *did not* do her exercises after her implant and now
is much stiffer than necessary.
