OT: Prescription meds by phone!?
OT: Prescription meds by phone!?
Florida is notorious for narcotic med prescriptions, as exposed on a TV
program. Pay a small fee and presto, prescription pain killers or
whatever you desire.
Well, they just upped the ante. I got a message on my answering machine
for prescription meds. Press "1" to speak to one of our 30 doctors!!!
I was shocked!!! They even gave me a phone number to call at a later
time. The 904 area code is in Florida somewhere.
Their automated telephone system also defeated the sitones (disconnect
tones), the beginning of my answering message by just barging in
immediately. AND I couldn't break to dialtone. Hanging up did no good.
They hijacked my phone line. An illegal practice, preventing people from
dialing 911 in an emergency. The BUMS!!!!!!
Needless to say, I didn't participate in what to me seems an illegal
practice. The last time I got a prescription for Percoset was when I
broke my leg two or three years ago from a doctor in the emergency room.
Very powerful stuff!!! Nothing since, other than a daily low dose (80mg)
chewable aspirin.
I don't know if it's drugs to your door or prescriptions by mail or over
the phone to a local pharmacy. I wouldn't even touch aspirin by mail,
figuring it's counterfeit.
What a dangerous racket!!! Drug addicts don't even have to leave home.

OB Food: Marie Callander's garlic chicken with noodles in sauce with
veggies bits. I couldn't taste any garlic.

One of my daughters neighbors just went to jail for 4 years, should
have been more, but he cooperated with feds for having prescription
drugs sent to him from FLA and distributing them in DE. You apparently
can get them in quantity from somewhere down there. Scary stuff. They
are losing the house and everything else from this crap. Steer clear
of all of it, the feds are on it big time.
And steer clear of broken legs.

Nan,
I keep trying!
It was a bad year! TWICE. Same leg.
I thought about donating my metal crutches but, given my recent odds, I
changed my mind.
Agreed! That drug trade over the phone is dangerous business. A plague!
Bothered me enough to mention it on rfc for members to be aware.
Best,
Andy
