OT OT OT. Children's song
There being numerous grandparents and parents on this group, and a
general worldy awareness, I thought I'd ask this here.
I was in Washington DC a month ago. We were walking down a street, say
8th or something like that. There was a group of pre-schoolers or maybe
first graders out on an excursion with their teachers and minders.
They were all rugged up against the cold and walking/marching along
holding on to a fabric chain of many colours and with different shaped
handholds so that none could wander off into the traffic.
As they were marching along on their little legs, they began singing
"Teamwork" something something something "Teamwork".
My wife says that they sang "Teamwork, what will work, Teamwork"
Not sure.
Anyone familiar with the tune and lyrics. I've tried googlng it
unsuccessfully so far.
thanks

Safely tied up in Fernandina Beach Marina with a raging storm outside.
I thought Florida was supposed to be warm!

That's strange, since we haven't had any cold days at all here in DC until this
past week, when we've had several with highs in the low forties.
And although we see groups of pre-schoolers walking around like that all the
time in the suburbs, I've never in 28 years seen such a group in the district.
Nor has my wife, and we're there every day.

LyricsTwo?.are better than one.
Two?.are better than one.
Because if we?re really workin?
Nobody?s shirkin?
All pistons perkin?
Get this big job done.
Because if we?re really tryin?
All fingers flyin?
Hey, we can say this work was FUN FUN FUN!
You and you and you and I, we call ourselves a team.
We?re more than just a group because together we can dream
We start out with a brainstorm and we come up with a plan.
It?s tried and true; it?s teamwork, and we do the best we can.
One works fast and one is slow, another?s really strong.
One may have a handicap, and something might go wrong.
We put our petty problems and our little gripes aside.
We?re hopping over hurdles and we?re pressing on with pride.
We?re teaming up our talent, our ideas and our skills,
No one?s gonna stop us, ?cause we can and yes, we will!
We believe in quality; we?re bound to make it great.
Here?s how we work together? We are Team COOPERATE!

Probably didn't feel cold to you - we come from the south west of
Western Australia and it was cold for us. We were in a slip in
Gangplank Marina and there was ice on the dock on two days.
I think the kiddies were visiting DC things with teachers and attendants
to make sure they didn't lose any.

Excellent! That's it. Thanks. We don't have that in Australia yet.

Was it lyrics from the Wonder Pets? "What's gonna work? Team work!"
You can probably find it on YouTube in order to hear the melody.
