Don't know which is worse .. children or grandchildren! All produce the
same levels of stress. Now I'm up to great grandchildren and I worry and
fret just as much. Hope all goes well for you and yours.

OT: new grandpa?
My son in law called me almost 6 hours ago to say new baby is on the way. I
talked to my daughter briefly but she wasn't too happy due to the labor
pains, etc. I wish he would call again with an update....I worry. :-O

If she is in labor, don't call either of them!

I was getting concerned by evening and still no call but I agreed with you
and Pennyaline...they're busy, don't bother them. I finally got the call
last night at 10:30PM.
Noah was born last night at 10:02 PM. He weighed 9 lbs, something ounces (I
forget exactly). I talked to Melissa briefly too. She sounded very happy
but extremely exhausted. A long day for her. Her labor lasted for 11-12
hours. Both are doing fine and are healthy.
WHEW!
Thanks to all that responded.

When my daughter, Melissa, was about 12 years old and gaining bits of
"freedom," I asked my mom, "At what point in your child's life do you stop
worrying about them?"
Her reply: Never

Congratulations, grandpa! 9 lbs is truly a bouncing baby boy
No wonder
your daughter is exhausted! Give my regards to the happy couple, too.

Thanks Jill. This was her 2nd baby (my 2nd grandchild). I think this one
took longer than the first one did.
