[OT] Neighborhood Ball running commentary..
BO and his lady looking good.
Denzel looks worse than street wino
Beyonce does near creditable version of Etta James' At Last.
Who is doing Michelle's wardrobe, fergawdsakes!? That red/blk demo
convention night dress was absolutely hideous! Tonight she looks like she's
wearing gown by Charmin.
more to come.......

(laugh!) I commented that it looked like those toilet paper
wedding dresses they make at bridal showers. I loved the
gold number she wore to the swearing in.

It looks like a little girl dress up dress. Grow up and take off all
those poofs! At least the ball gown wasn't as bad as that awful red
and black panda dress. Michelle needs a new stylist pronto.

I *think* Susan Talado(sp) did the wardrobe for the first lady. I'll
admit, it isn't my taste. The gown was too much. I kind of liked her
little yellow number once I got past the brightness of it. It was a
little bit retro, a teensy bit blingy and the color was bright and
cheerful. The same old Versace or Armani suit would have been really
boring and disappointing.
Now, Aretha Franklin's hat! THAT was awesome and completely over the
top. I'll bet drag queens the world over are trying to find one just like
it. The hat mesmerized me ;-)

I think she's showing a lot of originality. Her wardrobe is definitely out
of the ordinary ;-)

She's very stylish. I might not like every dress, but she
looks great anyway. Besides, it's fun to see the dresses, but
why should she worry what everyone thinks about her clothing.
You won't please everyone no matter what.

Didja catch that fashionista queen that CNN had on yesterday commenting on
her wardrobe, pretty hilariously bad...I wanted to reach through the teevee
and bitch - slap "her", lol.
I think she has great fashion sense and she has great carriage so she wears
clothes very well...

That was a "panda" dress? All I could think of was a nod to Japan's
rising sun or something...?

Poor woman's gotten so fat she can barely breath... And that hat was
classic church lady stuff, yet this one was ugly as all get out.

He's been looking that way for some time. Not aging well, is our Denzel.

Oh, hell no! When will these singers learn to hold a note, rather than
slide all over the damn place? Get the hook, dammit!
More than that, Beyonce and whoever is producing her now continue to
mistake the volume of a song with the power of the vocal. Ain't just
about how loud it is, yo.

I think she looked good. She looks a damn sight better than horse-face
Laura Bush ever did.

Check this out - for someone else wearing Aretha's hat. Funny.

LOL, and just this morning I thought Michelle Obama had the jawline of a
horse!
Laura Bush is hardly ugly, not is she particularly remarkable (way too
pale, IMO) but she's hardly horse faced, IMO.

I was glad it wasn't too windy. I was afraid she was going to take off!

Mrs. Obama's inauguration dress was quite well suited, IMHO. She's no
stick-limbed supermodel even if she is an attractive woman of her age.
The only thing that interested me was I wondered how she could be
sufficiently warm in that dress. She did not show any discomfort and
there was no evidence to my eye of long underwear :-)
