OT: Help with my nick?
Happening once last week I thought it was a fluke, but I just noticed
after replying to Wayne's Green Godess tell that instead of PickyJaz
at msn dot com, I show up here with the not-nick of
rec.food.baking??? How is that possible and how do I fix it? Is it a
silly that can happen because I use Google as my newsreader? Am I the
only one that see it? I haven;t a clue how to use anything but Google
for a newsreader, but I do certainly welcome a treacher.

Hmm; sounds as though your newsgroups settings are a little misplaced;
but I can definitely see it.
I use TB, not google for my newsreader, sorry.

Bake a batch of delicious cookies (we already know that you are an
*expert* on that!). Take 'em down to the Marines, except for one dozen.
Ask those nice young men if one of them knows how to fix your problem.
Take him home and let him fix it. Give him the last dozen cookies to
take with him.

If you are using Windows get Outlook Express (free). Or get Agent. Sign
up with a news server like Giganews or eternal-september.

Free Agent or Agent is a very good one

It looks as if Forte has "retired" Free Agent and are only offering
commercial Agent. Still, it's a good little newsreader for $30 and
their email tech support is very responsive.

Agent is a good one. Free Agent no longer exists except as warez.

Exactly! You've offered a perfect solution. I just took some apple
cinnamon scones out of the oven, and the "sink salad" with dressings
of both Penzeys' Creamy Peppercorn and their Green Godess have also
been blended to go with. I have one Marine that is always looking to
be fed something more wholesome than sweets, and since I already know
he lives aboard in the barracks, I'll bet he'd go for a pretend to
take a few scones home for his (imaginary) wife & kids...;-)
Thank you all for Newsreader suggestions, as well.

I have 9 versions, which would you like.
Anyone of these three are a great starter, a32.192 is very basic, I'm
sure you'd like it.
a32-192.exe
agentenu330-846.exe
agentenu400-1071.exe
