I am going to make a suggestion: people will think you are spamming if
you promote your blog like this, even if it is a good one. That will
completely turn people away.
You might consider doing what Koko does when she posts something new
to her blog. A general rundown of what she has newly posted, then a
link to her blog so people can read the full entry. Sometimes a few
pictures.

To give an extra kick to the oatmeal-butterscotch cookies,
up the cinnamon to 2 teaspoons, and add a teaspoon of nutmeg!

ANYONE that thinks an on-topic post is spam is a f&*king idiot!
With the OFF-TOPIC garbage in this group that is not ONLY tolerated,
but embraced, an on-topic post is welcome!!

Besides, I was only giving suggestions as to what she can do so as to
have it not construed as spam. Just posting a link, can be construed
as spam, at least by longtime rfc'ers.

You know and I know. It's on new ppl to learn the lay of the land or
suffer the consequences. Been that way on usenet for about 25 yrs.

I like to make Rice Krispies bars but substitute other cereals in
place of Rice Krispies, such as Capn Crunch.

Hey! I resemble that remark.
strike 1 - Kristin posts from google.
strike 2 - Only 1 post from Kristin in my news reader.
strike 3 - post is only 2 lines - 1 of which is a link to her blog.
Requires me to start a browser. No real content for my news reader.
No doubt, I am an idiot - and Kristin is a spammer (who I seriously doubt
will find her way back to rfc for any followup posts).

Posting from groups.google.com or www.foodbanter.com or other web-forums
dramatically reduces the chance of your post being read.
