Is it not Monday?
The SF guy just wrung my my bell ... My roofer secretary said they were
going to come Tuesday... I need a nap. Now I will have to stay awake to
see what they are doing...
I better eat part of another banana.

Um, you you don't need to see, you will HEAR what they are doing... I
advise you go elsewhere while they're hammering your roof, or buy
shooter's ear protection.

You are right, Sheldon, I went on a cruise while my house got a new
roof. There is no reason to stay there and hear all that noise.

Exactly, the best thing to do when contractors are hammering on your
roof and siding is to disappear, at least for the entire day. And
watching won't ensure a better job, in fact watching annoys them so
they are likely to rush so they can get out of there sooner so are
likely to cut corners.

You left your house vacant while you had roofers. That is brave. I
understand the reluctance to be around when there is construction going
on but roofers are a notorious lot. I would not want them to think that
my house is every unoccupied.

My secondborn was home from school, so he babysat the cats while I was
gone.

They are supposed to do it this week, apparently... Probably still be
unemployed... Maybe I can go to the library. Or go for long walks with the
ex.

yeah, I hated when the boss would look over my shoulder... (Yes, this porn
site is work related! Just checking out what other people here are
downloading, sir.)
Addendum: For the record, I did not watch porn at work. But there was a
couple people that did. Got fired... How addicted to sex/porn do you have
to be to have to watch it at work?

good point. I should close the blinds. I don't have much, but would miss
the 42" lcd TV. I got it on sale, and don't think I'd replace it.

"Becca" is a cool name... I'm just a boring "Doubting Thomas" I wonder
sometimes, was it the name or the nurturing? If my parents had named me
Bob, would I be different... "Doubting Bob" doesn't sound right.
Ironically, I just remembered (memory is haphazard and an odd thing) when in
grade school-- one of my friends called me: "TomMoose"

You can go hang out with the ex, I'm sure you'll find something to
pass the time, can always treat her to lunch, then make a few
unannounced trips back to observe the roofers.

Are you ill? That was actually cogent. Maybe someone should call Sheldon a
doctor?

A month or so ago, Shelley got upset at run-on sentences. Go figure.

Nothing wrong with the name "Thomas", which is a nice name. I was named
Becca after my mothers best friend during childhood. Her adult friends,
at the time of my birth, were Regie and Bobbie, which would have been
okay if she had named me after one of them. Both women have passed away,
and I am friends with their children.

Odd but some people seem to live into their name. TBH, all the Thomas' I've
ever know have been decent guys. Like "Bob's" Bobs always seem to be kinda
laid back and nice guys... One time I was working as a short order cook, a
small restaurant "Fergies" and usually had a couple cooks and a dishwasher.
One time there was four of us working the kitchen, and the guy for the next
shift came in: said "hi Tom" We all turned around.
So who is Ema? Few "Beccas" I have known, were Rebeccas.

Ema Nymton is "not my name" backwards.
