I got a kitchen aid 3.5 qt dutch oven and 5 qt oval. Both enamel over cast
iron. Other than tax, it cost me nada as I had loyalty points to cover. It
isn't the Le Creuset I was eyeing, but I am happy with both.

We have a store called Canadian Tire that gives out bonus "money" with each
purchase. If you use their credit card you get more points.. not sure if it
is double or not. I saved mine up and voila $200 later I got my cast.
Trying to determine what to make in them first. I am thinking about making
no knead bread in the smaller one and some type of beef stew in the other.

Kitchen Aid seems to be a rather prevelant brand over there.
Koko just bought a mincer attachment for her Kitchen Aid mixer.

Just about every store over here is hooked into some Rewards Program or
other.
I just got a $100 cheque in the mail yesterday from one, we're about to
look at the Rewards catalogue of another, and on the other one, we're
going to convert our points to Frequent Flyer miles and we'll have enough
for a return flight for 2 to just about anywhere in Australia.
And *then* there are the websites that give cash/points for shopping
online!! I've got a stack of cash/points sitting in a Chemist shop,
Veterinary supplies shop, and a general online shopping site :-)

Kitchen Aid is a decent brand - I've never had a problem with anything
with their name on it.

Going to make a beef stew or beef burgundy or something similar in the big
one to initiate it. The smaller one will make its debut with a no knead
bread to accompany it.
