You would enter but you don't want to show them up. hehe
My father could've won a saurkraut eating contest... back when
Nathan's kraut (hot or cold) was help yourself he'd buy two dawgs and
blanket them with a mountain of hot kraut, eat the kraut, and return
for more some 20 times before ever biting into a dawg... was difficult
getting him to leave so we could go home. And that was only a prelim,
you should have seen him attack the kraut barrels at the old Red Apple
Rest on NY Rte 17... my mom used to yell he'd put them out of
business. In those days there were no automatic transmissions and
many cars could only creep up the sqwurtzboro mountains in reverse
without over heating.
Are we there yet?

Independence Day 2010 arrest
On June 28, 2010, Kobayashi announced he would not compete in the
Nathan's Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Competition reportedly due to a
labor impasse with Major League Eating over the ability to compete in
contests not sanctioned by MLE.[20]
On July 4, 2010, Kobayashi was in attendance at the Nathan's
International Hot Dog Eating Contest, watching from the crowd. Wearing a
black T-shirt that read "Free Kobi", Kobayashi mingled with the crowd,
standing inside a police-barricaded pen just under the stage. After the
competition ended, he slipped up the stage stairs and crashed the stage.
Although he was initially ushered by security officers up to the stage,
one security officer (thought to have been requested by George Shea),
quickly ushered him offstage as he resisted vehemently, hanging on to
the barricades and fences before being taken into custody. Though some
witnesses reported that Kobayashi was attempting to congratulate the
winner, Joey Chestnut,[21] co-host and Major League Eating President
Richard Shea, stated that "[Kobayashi] tried to jump on stage during the
awards ceremony to disrupt it."[22] With the crowd chanting, "Free
Kobi!" and "Let him eat! Let him eat!¡, police handcuffed him. He was
charged with resisting arrest, trespassing and obstructing governmental
administration and spent the rest of the 4th of July in jail awaiting an
appearance in Brooklyn Criminal Court.[23]
Kobayashi's interpreter and publicist, Maggie James said he had
originally gone in hopes to cheer on his fellow competitive eaters, but
after arriving and the chanting from the fans, he was swooped onto the
stage from mere excitement. She said "There's a contract dispute, they
weren't giving him his freedom, it was unfair" [24]
Kobayashi told reporters he had a sandwich and a glass of milk while
being held. "I am very hungry," he said. "I wish there were hot dogs in
jail." [25]
On August 5, 2010 all charges against Kobayashi were dismissed by a
judge in Brooklyn.[26] Nathans removed Kobayashi's name from their
record sign in 2011.[27]

He only won because they kicked out the little Chinese guy for being
"unruly" last year and he was arrested.

I remember that "free kboi" accident, but I didn't know he got removed
from Nathans' events. A great loss for a great sport

I cannot help but feel this is so wrong in a world having so many
problems
with over eating & obesity, and in some places with starvation,
including
this country. I feel the same way about that tv show that shows guy
pigging out. Just gross for starters and immoral and stupid for
finishers.Nan in DE.

Killjoy! Better you think about all the *serious* problems on this
planet... like war, cancer, and more than I care to type. I once won
an eggcream guzzling competion, sponsored by Sid's Lunchonette, Ave. P
and E. 5th St... guzzled a 46 ounce eggcream in under a minute.

Irony: Telling people to care about major world problems then
immediately following that with a some personal bragging about being
able to drink and egg cream in under a minute.

Paul,
She's an incredible eater. At 5'5" and 105 lbs., the fact that she ate 40
hot dogs in 10 minutes with her small frame is utterly amazing.
I guess the faster they get the hot dogs into the intestines the more
they can eat. Heck, their poops afterwards are probably also world record
worthy!
Her food world records is a long list.

The smallest amount of food she ever ate in 10 minutes to win a
competition was _fruitcake_. She can eat twice as much lobster in
that same 10 minutes.
Which just supports my position (and yearly Holiday rant) that
Fruitcake sucks! Even professional eaters can't eat that crap!
