Default My bacon and egg potato salad

6 egg yolks (my brother doesn't like the whites)
    1 kilo new potatoes
    a little cooking spray
150g bacon, weighed after you cut off the fat
    ˝ cup mayonnaise
    2 tablespoons seeded mustard
˝ teaspoon crushed garlic (from a jar)
˝ cup red onion finely diced
    2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
    freshly cracked pepper

Boil the eggs for 6 minutes then leave them to cool.

Wash potatoes with a vegetable brush and cut in quarters leaving the
    skin on.

Put them in an oven until they are just cooked but still firm.

Then put them into a large mixing bowl to cool. Coat a non-stick
frypan with a little cooking spray and sauté the bacon until browned.

Add all ingredients to bowl except eggs.

Gently fold ingredients together, being careful not to break up
potato. Peel and cut the egg yolks into quarters then gently fold
    through mixture.

Refrigerate until required. But don't freeze it or it will be ruined.

Serves about 6, (or 1 if my brother is having some.)

This is the most important part of any recipe.

Tell the lazy bastard to make his own potato salad, egg whites don't
    have a taste.

Does anybody in their right ever freeze potato salad? Why would they?

Thanks for the tip - I probably shouldn't joke about it.

no, seriously. I see recipes all the time that say "serves 6" but I would
eat the whole thing. I actually prefer it when recipes say how MUCH is
produced, such as "16 ounces", or even "8 3 ounce servings". Then I can do
my own math depending on what the rest of the fare is and the venue.

NOTE: you get no quotes because you seem to have "google groups" in your
header. Don't ask me why, but I just think I figured that out. (some folks
    obsess about thinks like this).

Lots of us obsess about this. Lots of us have figured this out,
although some are still in denial. Are you one? The problem is that
you are running OE6. It doesn't quote posts from GG. There is a fix
for this. It is called "quotefix". MS refuses to fix it, so it's not a
supported MS product. Google isn't going to fix their posts, because
they work fine in GG, and with every other news client other than OE6
    and its successors.

No, I'm not in denial, I just didn't care that much. (and didn't care much
when reading someone else's post without perfect quotation). But, after all
the bitches to me and others regarding quotes, your post was the first that
    gave a solution (hopefully). I just installed quotefix. I knew I couldn't
count on MS to fix their problem.

    Thanks.

I guess I obsess, because the lack of quoting makes me crazy.
Unfortunately, there is no Quotefix for Windows Live or there wasn't
the last time I checked which was a few months ago. Someone has
    written this http://www.dusko-lolic.from.hr/wlmquote/ but I don't know
if it works in real life.

I don't even eat potato salad but I know that putting egg whites in is
wrong even if one does like egg whites.

Why is putting in egg whites wrong? Seriously, I want to know.

no more quote fix. I can't click on links with it. I send them an e-mail,
so maybe they have a solution.

It's vintage Bryan - thinking that his likes and dislikes should also
    be ours.
