Thanks, Gary We have a different Mother's day in UK, but Germany - where
my daughter and her family live have the same day as you. I am lucky in
that I get celebrations for both days)

Agreed, Happy Mother's Day! You don't have to be a mom to appreciate
your mother. My mother was my best friend until the day she died. I
think of her and think of her every day. She knows she was loved very
    much.

Same with me. My mom doesn't care much for email so I call her each week on
Saturday morning....Sunday morning this week since it's mother's day. We
always end up talking for over an hour. I'm not much of a phone person but
I do this for her since she prefers voice communication. It really IS nice
to talk to her each week. She's almost 83 and going strong but I will miss
the days when she's gone. she has done it all for me and she's the best mom
    I ever had! heheh

You're welcome. Since I became the mom and dad when my daughter was age 7,
she always gives me a happy mother's day greeting too. That's cool.

If she can get email, then she could use Skype? My family in Germany Skype
me all the time. It is lovely to see them as well as hear

Awww - that's really nice! You must have been a great Dad. I will
assume she's all grown up now and on her own - unless I missed a
mention of something to the contrary.

    Thanks Gary- back atcha!
We had a family reunion at my mom's yesterday, and a couple of cousins
and my sis spent the night there. I got up this am and made a couple
of quiches to take over there, so I had a lovely brunch with my mom
and the rest of the moms there. Then we cleaned up the mess from
    yesterday!

Thanks! Still waiting for my daughter to wrap and give me my gift although
I already know what it is, since I bought it. She is using the theory of...
I bought you an Ipad! Which she did. For Christmas. Very expensive gift.
I had protested but she insisted. So she'll get a lot of mileage out of
that for a while now I expect.

We did my mom's celebration yesterday. Her birthday was included since it
was May 9. We went out for dinner but no one was actually hungry except for
my nephew. We'd had lunch at that great taqueria and we were all still full
from that. My bro and SIL had a big lunch too. We joked about the Chef
Salad which my bro and mom ordered. It was $8.95 for a whole one and $7.95
for a half. They both got the half and they were HUGE! We said that we'd
like to see the full one. Waitress said they were in the same sized bowl
but the whole ones had more protein on them. Still, there was so much in
that bowl, they could have easily split a half and still had food left over.
