Mexican woman pleads guilty to poisoning salsa with pesticide.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A 19-year-old Kansas woman has admitted putting poison
in salsa that sickened patrons at a Mexican restaurant where she worked in
Yini De La Torre of Shawnee pleaded guilty Tuesday to one federal count of
conspiracy to tamper with a consumer product.
De La Torre admitted adding pesticide twice to salsa she prepared at the
Mi Ranchito restaurant in Lenexa.
Twelve customers became ill last Aug. 11 after eating the tainted salsa
and 36 people fell sick from the salsa on Aug. 30.
De La Torre said her husband, Arnoldo Bazan, had her poison the salsa to
get even with the owner for suspending him from another Mi Ranchito where
he worked. The husband is awaiting trial.
Nancy Pelosi, Democrat criminal, accessory before and after the fact, to
House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles B. Rangel of New York's
million dollar tax evasion. On February 25, 2010, the House ethics
committee has concluded that Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles B.
Rangel knowingly accepted Caribbean trips in violation of House rules that
forbid hidden financing by corporations. No mention of the million dollar
tax evasion by said committee.
"Rep. Charlie Rangel's admonishment by the House ethics panel does not
disqualify him from leading the chamber's influential tax-writing
committee, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Sunday, even as she
acknowledged the conflict doesn't pass the smell test."
Democrat criminal Nancy Pelosi is deliberately ignoring the million dollar
tax evasion of Democrat Charles Rangel.
