John - my ISP has had a problem for a couple of days (unfiltered
posts disappear) and it sounds like other ISPs have a problem too, so
give it a rest. Use E-S and be happy or shut up.

It's quite clearly trolling. That was the only purpose of this thread.

APN seems to have the problem under control this morning, only time
will tell. So far the invisible posts haven't returned, but maybe
they never will. At this point I'd probably mark them read and move
on anyway.

And it came to pass that sf delivered the following message unto the
people, saying~

John, here is a link to get you started, and it doesn't cost a thing:
http://eternal-september.org/Registe...hp?language=en
Use it AND/OR quit complaining. *gle Groups didn't suck last night, *gle
Goups sucks--period. It will continue to suck as long as it exists, any
night of the week. You'd better get used to it.

I AM using news.eternal-september.org right now to post this message
via my Free Agent newsreader client. And the funny thing is that in
GoogleGroups, most times I will see this mesage almost immediately
after I post it, in GoogleGroups and of course in my Free ASgent
client on news.eternal-september.org (after refreshing/re-downloading
in my Free Agent client.) BUT if I post it from GoogleGroups and
refresh GoogleGroups, it can take up to 20 or 30mins before I see it
on either my Free Agent client or GoogleGroups!
Googlegroups is a a POS, I'm just saying.

Maybe it's their way of discouraging spammers who are juvenal enough
to want instant gratification.

Or maybe because Google's a multiBILLION corporation and doesn't
really have to care, since none of their $$ directly comes from Usenet
or groups in general. They are among the 1%ers of Saint Carlin's
Ownership Class.
