Little known breakfast secret!
Little known breakfast secret!
An avocado a day keeps the doctor away.
Or let me rephrase... 1/2 of one mashed between two slices of whole
wheat toast and a slice of cheddar cheese and peppered to death.
Plus a tall glass of ice cold water, a Mrs. Wilma Flintstone AND two
low-dose chewable aspirin.
You?

Oatmeal, raisins, walnuts, made appetizing with butter and brown
sugar. Glass of 2% milk.
The vitamins were consumed somewhat later: 1 Centrum Silver,
one glucosamine/chondroitin, two calcium/D.

I know it's not a valid source of proper nutrition,
but there are health benefits to coffee, as I
understand it. (so says the bachelor)

l, not -l,
I haven't been down the cereal aisle in ages.
Uncle Sam beats Cheerios butt!
Or at least that's where the smart money is, if I were a betting man.

While I have been known to indulge in Cheerios on occasion, the whole grain
and flax seed in Uncle Sam makes it a healthier choice; it has a satisfying
taste and crunch as well. On the very rare occasion that I eat a totally
unhealthy cereal, my choice is Cap'n Crunch 8-)

It's usually one box a year, starting on Christmas day, preferably Christmas
Crunch. This is a Christmas tradition for my children, who are now well
into adulthood; they still arrrive at my house Christmas morning for our
traditional Christmas (Cap'n in a crunch) Crunch, dutch pancake (pinapple
filling) and Li'l Smokies breakfast. I'm left with the remainder of the
box to polish off over the next days/weeks.

I can't recall my last Cap'n Crunch. Mom was pretty against sugar'd
cereal.

I can remember my first! When Cap'n Crunch was first introduced back
in the mid to late 1960's they sent a small sample box out in the
mail. I remember me and some of the other neighborhood kids outside
playing and snacking on Cap'n Crunch free samples! It was like candy.
No wait! It IS candy! Part of this nutritious breakfast? Um YEAH!
DESSERT!
