Late TGIF breakfast!
Late TGIF breakfast!
Woke up way late!
Two cups (nods to Sheldon) of strawberry yogurt with mixed in crumbled
honey Graham crackers. Washed down with a not as tall as usual glass of
ice-cold milk. Multivvitamin, etc., etc.
Golf will have to wait for another day. I shoot in the 70s. Any hotter
than that, I stay indoors.
You?

I always wake up before my alarm but today it woke me up...first time in
years.
I did good today though. No work due to rain so I took books back to the
library, got my paycheck, did grocery shopping, went to the bank at 9 and
deposited my paycheck and also my FIRST federal tax refund in 25 years. From
there, I went and got my long overdue haircut. About to do 2 loads of
laundry in a few minutes....clean house and vacuum while the laundry is
going. Then I'm done for a nice relaxing weekend.

I like yogurt mixed with honey/oats cereal flakes mixed in. Last night I
ate a vanilla yogurt with 6 ginger snaps. Good.
I'm thinking of making a pie using crushed ginger snaps rather than graham
crackers. Maybe 2 batches of the cooked vanilla pudding for a filling?

I don't play golf, but I do have a putter and some balls and I will putt in
the living room into a glass. The ferrets love that game - they will chase
the balls then steal them. heheh
Have a great holiday weekend, Andy, and to all here.

I cut my hair blind (by feel), with the Swiss army knife scissors tool. I
wear a baseball cap in public to hide the proof!
Good on your tax refund! Uncle Sam hates pay back. Sticking it to him feels
great! Congrats!

Yeah, I got lots accomplished today.
As far as alarm clock, I actually use a kitchen timer by my bed. Most
times, I will set one of the timer settings for getting up time. I usually
wake up first and turn it off.

I'm a pacifist, therefore, I don't shoot anything. 8-)
Eggbeaters, as scrambled, not the usual omelet, draped with a slice of Land
'O Lakes Sharp Yellow American cheese (I've taken a real liking to this
cheese), with a bit of green tomato relish on-the-side. Reduced Sodium V-8
and coffee.

My haircut was so way overdue, I did take scissors to the front and a little
on the sides a while ago....just to make it look a bit better until I got a
real haircut. Cutting the back of your own hair is a challenge using 2
mirrors.

I didn't stick anything to Uncle Sam. They got all their money. This year
I just happened to have paid off all back taxes that I've been paying for
the past 4 years.
Funny too. Some of my co-workers will claim no dependents on the weekly
paycheck thing, just so more taxes will be taken out each week. That gives
them some huge refund check at the end of the year. And when they get this
large check, it burns their pockets, and they spend it all in no time.
Not me. I claim one dependent weekly and claim one dependent for the annual
returns. I'm not going to use them as a savings account that pays no
interest. I can save my own money. Even doing it right, I still get almost
$700 back each year.
I finally got a check this year. The past 3 years, my refund was applied to
what I still owed them.
Anyway, it was a nice surprise in the mail the other day.
And no, I
don't feel rich this week. That money will stay in my bank account for
rainy days which seem to come way too often.

l, not -l,
I only knew of Land O Lakes for their butters. I'll have to look for
their cheese. For years I've defaulted to Kraft processed American cheese
food product slices. Once in a while I get a brick of Monterey Jack, who
I've never met.
Good on your slight change of pace breakfast!
Best,
Andy

I have not seen the L'oL cheese in regular supermarkets here; I get it from
a farmer's co-op supermarket with a very large cheese selection. You may
only be able to find it at a cheesemonger.

I didn't get a tax refund, but I did win $448.00 in the Fantasy Five with a
replay on Sunday. I was happy. :-)
