    Default Kitchenaid KHB100 Immersion Blender

I'm thinking of buying the KHB100. I've been at Kitchenaid's website
and all over the web trying to get the rated wattage of this blender.
Does anyone know what that is?

    Thanks,
    Greg

    Hey Greg! I have one... it's 20 AMP MAX 120AC 60 Hz

That's all that shows on the unit.

I looked all over the world for an immersion blender that has no
plastic in or on it that will be exposed to hot foods. Plastic is a
killer! I found the KHB 100 and I bought it. Under neath, theres a
small area about the size of a silver dollar that is plastic! What a
disappointment!! As a result I CAN NOT use this with HOT foods! And
made in China, by the way, the nation that is bent on burying the USA!

Are you old enough to remember all the scrap iron we sold to Japan in
the late 30's?? We tore down the Second Avenue Elevated trains in NYC
and sold the scrap iron to Japan. It came back to us in Pearl Harbor
    and all the Pacific Islands!
    Is China Next??

Hope I could be of help~ Mike

    <snip>

I use my plastic immersion blender in hot foods - specifically soup - all
the time. No problems encountered thus far.

It was probably made in China too, although I've had it for a good 12 years
    or so....

I do, too. I don't know his problem, unless he's thinking the plastic
leaches harmful chemicals into his food. Those plastics are typically
made to withstand very hot temps - I've never had mine even slightly
soften after using it in soup.
