Killer Bee Honey?!?!?
Killer Bee Honey?!?!?
Science channel reports commercially available killer bee honey. A $3M biz
in Arizona.
Honey is honey I suppose.
Ever had? I'm not certain I would buy any.

Not quite true. The stingless bees in Mexico
are much less discriminating in what they gather.
I wouldn't eat that honey.

I haven't tried it, but I expect it would be
just like regular honey. The African queens
were originally imported to Argentina as part
of a breeding experiment to improve regular
bees. The Africanized bees have much larger
capacity for collecting nectar, so they're
more productive. They can be handled by
beekeepers, though it's tricky. When a
colony is disturbed, they often will kill
their queen (I don't know why), which can
interrupt production.
