No, the alcohol doesn't evaporate. The normal mix is 50% water, 50% vodka.

Many times. From memory, I only used vodka...... which basically 'goes'
with most jellies, especially the citrus ones.

Honestly. I didn't know that kids did Jello shots anymore. I'd have
thought it passe by now (plus you can't make Hot Buttered Nipples with
them).

I don't know if I ever tried one. I figured it was a good money making
gimmick which I didn't feel like wasting money. Figure less than half a
shot.

Jell-0 is cheap. Vodka... depends on how cheap you want to be. I worked
with a woman who competed in BBQ contests. One day she was planning to
leave work early to compete in one such competition. (BBQ contests also
apparently involve lots of booze.) So she brought the Jell-O shots in tiny
plastic souffle cups (with lids) and stored them in the break-room
refrigerator. Some crisis or another came up so she couldn't leave work
early as planned. And around 2PM someone suggested she break out the Jell-0
shots. A good time was had by all!

Alcohol never evaporates or dissipates during cooking. You have to cook
something for atleast three to four hours to eradicate all traces of
alcohol. Some cooking methods are less effective at removing alcohol
than just letting it stand out uncovered overnight.
