Wow, I paid less than that for Plugra butter last week, and I also bought
Land O Lakes butter, the best grocery brand available here, on sale for
$1.69 lb. It was limit two, but I went back for seconds. ;-) And LOL butter
has a special wrap on the butter quarters which helps the butter stay fresh
and odor free.

Sucks to be in Canada and spend more (especially unsalted).
Lanctancia is what I bought and although I've bought it in sticks
before (perfect for baking), for some reason the stick kind wasn't on
sale. Should have stocked up in the summer where I have a cottage
about 1/2 hour from the border.

Everyone is getting cookies as gifts...it's a bad year. Going to start
soon here myself.

Limit two. That's why God gave me kids who are almost grown. Local grocer
has them on special 2/$5, limit two. Take 15, 18 and 20 year old with, hand
each a fiver and say 'Moma NEEDS butter.'........

Marty probably buys his Plugra in 1-pound blocks at Restaurant
Depot. Which is where I get mine also.

At costco I usually pay about $1.89 for their Kirkland butter.
Whcih isjust as good as anything else out there. I heard it was
also made by Keller (Plugra) at one time, but I never verified
that.

I hope your 2011 is much better than what 2010 has been.


I might make a whole bunch of christmas cakes and give them out to everyone.

I have to use the red wine in my collection somehow....... and my cake recipe
has a *lot* of red wine in it :-)
