wrong. Don't let the "hog" part fool you. They are not related to pigs/hogs.
Thanks for the reminder though. Once I read your post, I looked in my tv
guide and sure enough....on AMC this evening is the Bill Murray movie,
"Groundhog Day." I like that movie.

Thank you-- and as luck would have it I will be grinding some pork
today. [Wish I could find a nice groundhog, though. I haven't
eaten it in years. I is a lot like beef-- but on chicken bones.]
I call them woodchucks, so celebrating 'ground Pork' day makes more
sense.

No, it's just a euphemism for woodchuck. But you can eat 'em just the
