Yup, never know when you have to take contractors to court. Plus when
they see you taking pictures they tend to do a more honest job.

How do you keep people from stealing them (shingles and 3 pallets of
supplies some guy brought today).... They are just sitting out there in the
driveway... The box with the "vents" was overturned in the evening... I
think someone was looking for something to steal. The box was not that way
earlier... I have a motion sensor light by it, so maybe that will deter
someone. Earlier it went off. But it was either a large rat, or small
    opossum I saw.

You must live in a nice neighborhood. For decent folks roofing
shingles are the last thing they'd think to steal. In any event the
contractor should not have put that in your driveway, what if your car
is in the garage? Typically they will place the roofing materials off
to the side and cover the pile with a tarp. If you're worried get
some Remington 16 ga. and NRA posters to slap on your front windows...
rent a couple of pit bulls named Chaos and Bubba and strew some well
gnawed mastodon bones in your front yard.

And it came to pass that Brooklyn1 delivered the following message unto

Naah, hire a couple nasty little poodles instead. It'd be wise to leave
American Pit Bull Terriers out of the "vicious" game for a while. Contrary
to the way the ma$$ media like to **** on them, they're good dogs.

All dogs are good...it's the irresponsible owners that are the problem!

My dog is not good. He is a jerk. When he is good he is very good, but
when he is bad..... look out. It;s not that I don't know how to train
dogs. All my other dogs were well trained and obedient. I have also
trained rats, chickens, pigeons, goldfish, killer whales, elephant seals
and sea lions. This guy is a challenge. I adopted him when he was 5
years old. He had already been evicted from a trailer park.

It took me months before I dared to let him run free in the fields
behind us. I don't dare take him out of the house without a leash.

Believe me. I have worked with this dog. He gets leash training every
day. When we get to the open fields I give him off leash training. Even
now, after three years, I can't trust him. If he decides to take off,
he's gone. He will be back in a few minutes, but he just loves to run,
    run, run.

He is smart. He is high energy and he is aggressive. After a good run he
    comes canck and

When I can get a few spare shingles I put them in my trunk for use in the
winter. With the rough side down, they are good under a wheel stuck in the
    snow.
