Only once. Never again. But I'll happily retell the story...

    Once upon a time...

    ....The End

Eat breakfast that doesn't need to be cooked.

My oldest son and I both had the same thing today:

Cut up half a banana into a small bowl, add a few blueberries, then put
a couple of heaping tablespoons of our homemade almond butter on top,
stir to coat the fruit, and eat. I had mine with a double shot of
espresso - arguable not "cooked" because we have a one-button espresso
machine, so it's just hit the button and wait for your coffee - and a
    glass of water.

After burgers for breakfast, I think my next activity would either be a
    long walk or a nap.

Colombian coffee to make me perky 8-)

BTW; if concerned about sodium content of chipped beef, soak overnight in a
quart or more of water and much of the salt will leach out.

    l, not -l,

When it comes to creamed chipped beef, I never sweat the details. I've
never made it myself. Just the frozen "Myers" brand, which is lower in
sodium by a wide margin, compared to the Stouffers brand.

Where else I don't sweat the details is biscuits and sausage gravy. The
VFW in town has a last Sunday of the month $7 all you can eat breakfast
buffet. Open to the public. I go a couple times a year and pig out on the
biscuits and gravy. It's also the only time I have real scrambled eggs.
For the longest time it was $5. I think I was to blame for the increase!

You can get a decent, though not authentic, substitution by using
'Hillshire Farms Deli Select Roast Beef' without soaking. Slice it both
ways to what size you want. I can't find chipped beef anymore on the
west coast of the US. Creamed canned shrimp on toast ain't bad either.

I've cooked bacon naked lots of times. Frying chicken naked is more
problematic. Bacon really doesn't *pop* much.

My god your breakfasts are sad. I'd far rather eat at a taqueria in
the vicinity of a poultry processing plant staffed by undocumented
immigrants. The coffee might be just as bad as what you drink, but he
    food would be far better.

l, not -l, like you, uses crappy egg substitute. Sad, pathetic
    breakfasts.
